Innovating in your mind
Everything we use wears out: furniture, shoes, clothes, etc. And if we feel they're no longer useful because they no longer serve their purpose, we replace them. When we do, we can simply replace them, or we can refurbish them. Here, other factors besides need come into play: fashion, the time of year, personal taste, sales, and financial resources.
Something similar happens in our minds; we use systems of thought and beliefs that we import from the environment, and that serve us for a while.
We can also innovate in our minds.
Of course, then it becomes more difficult to identify which thoughts, which beliefs, no longer serve us.
Well, in the same way that if we wanted to renew, for example, our wardrobe, we would start by identifying what we don't use, because it doesn't suit us , because we don't feel good using it , because it's out of style , because it's too small for us .
What happens if we try to search our minds for those beliefs and thoughts that no longer resonate with us?
To see them (like we see clothes), all you need to do is use, for example, your planner for a few days, a week, and write down the thoughts that come to mind. That's all.
After that time, then we will be able to see them: read them, access them.
It is time to discard what harms us , what does not benefit us when used , what belongs to another time in our lives and is out of date , that is, at the level of thought, what limits us from growing, advancing, and expanding our horizons.
It's time to choose, it's time to innovate.
