Stillness and progress
Within the dizzying pace of each day, the rush, the commitments, the tasks, sometimes it seems that we cannot stop.
Although this speed does not always imply progress.
It's like trying to have a conversation with someone in the middle of a nightclub with the music blasting—isn't that difficult? Or,
It's like running a race but without a clear idea of the finish line.
This, which seems almost absurd when viewed this way, is part of our daily reality. We run around nonstop, like dizzy ducks, and it never occurs to us to stop: it's a waste of time.
Within this framework,
How could stillness represent progress?
Very simple!
In the same way that making a shopping list helps us get straight to the point instead of going back and forth several times through the same aisles.
If each day, we STOP (even for a little while) to think:
Is this what I want to do?
Is there another way to do it?
We will surely discover that those moments of stillness do represent progress , because they save us from a crazy, empty race in which we run over each other senselessly.
And we will also see how our day clears up and gives way to us.
