A compelling need to move forward, and, in doing so, the feeling of not being empowered by your colleagues, and that the opportunity you saw is slipping away.
And you start all over again.
In football, it is known as the advantage rule.
The advantage rule: If you go ahead alone, you are OFFSIDE
Well, the same thing happens in life.
It's like the ABCs of Creation. All of history is documented with cases where great creators were not recognized in their time by their peers, by their society, for being "ahead of their time".
Well, this is a little scary, actually.
However, our own evolution depends on it. When we begin to connect more with ourselves, and are consistent with that connection, we find ourselves in this situation: feeling out of place in front of our family, friends, and colleagues.
It's not just us who change: that's why the example of soccer is so helpful. When a player moves forward and gets ahead of the others, he changes his position, but he also changes the position of everyone else in relation to him. And just as in sports, the linesman blows his whistle and play stops and goes back to normal, in real life someone might act as referee and say the play isn't valid. This is where we can move forward: because in life, this play might not be valid for others, but it is valid for ourselves. It's worth remembering this example and moving on. And contrary to what happens in soccer, the feeling of frustration disappears because there's a voice we don't ignore, and that's our own.
