Put down roots and take flight
We are like a tree. That's why a drawing of one represents us so well.
If a tree is not planted in the ground it dies, because it cannot feed itself, but if it does not raise its own crown to look at the sky, it also dies, because it does not grow.
We are here to grow and evolve.
If we are planted on the ground, but continually look down, we will never take off, and we will bend over, grow old, and disappear without a trace, we won't even cast a shadow!
If we look up, face each day, and accept the profound challenge of living and learning permanently, we will not only survive, but we will take flight and take off from everyday reality, seeing a wonderful reality from a little higher than ourselves, as if we were looking from the treetop.
